Managing during Turbulent Times

This unique workshop is designed to provide effective ways for leaders to meet the challenges of managing others through change without depleting their own resources and productivity.  The program assists managers and supervisors with specific skills and tools to help their staff adapt to the new reality and the ongoing change resulting from economic downturns or organizational rightsizing. 

To improve productivity and implement positive change, managers explore how to use the building blocks of harnessing the new reality and employee needs, flexibility, managing emotions while becoming more effective leaders.  It provides leaders with strategic tools for improving productivity and resolving conflicts.  The objective is to lead others toward shared goals and negotiate for cooperation and team work. Managers leave with options and better ways to manage their staff and provide strategic leadership in the organization.

Workshops include discussions and activities on the following topics:

  • Understanding the impact of new economic realities upon individuals and teams
  • Addressing comfort zone issues regarding change, uncertainty and financial instability
  • Developing coping skills that focus on changing attitudes and expectations of team members
  • Harnessing personal resilience and flexibility
  • Communicating effectively
  • Identify key opportunities to transfer current skills to new situations
