I just returned from a week-long conference at the United Nations in New York on the Status of Women, www.ngocsw.org. The conference was overwhelming and inspiring with 1351 representatives from 106 countries comprised of 1138 females, 68 men and 77 unspecified attendees. (307 international organizations in consultative status with the UN represented)
As the world was focused on the horrors of Libya we were focused on learning what the many representatives were doing to help women with gender equality, education, sustainability, technology, jobs, and prevent rape, sex trafficking and violence.
